I have been there: trying to correctly import gmails into RankerX, but having issues understanding how to correctly import them and which format to use. Also, I did search on Google for tutorials but couldn’t find any so, as soon as I learnt, I decided I’d share a quick blog post to save you guys some time. (yes..I wasn’t as luck as you! Back then, not even this blog post was on the web.)
Why you should use gmail in RankerX
RankerX has the ability to create for you (and for free) high quality emails which will then be used when creating accounts. And there are also plenty of other email providers you can use to achieve a great success rate, such as outlook, yahoo and mail.ru to name some of the most popular.
But, there is one thing that all these providers lack and which only Gmail is able to do: Creating accounts on google web2.0 properties! Especially, Blogger, Google Sites and Google My Business. Three platforms which not only are high quality and high authority, but also easier to index than most other websites. (yep, google loves himself.)
How to correctly import Gmail accounts in RankerX
To import email accounts in RankerX, first you must make sure that your Gmail accounts has access to “Less Secure Apps” turned on.
This option is turned off by default, but it can be enabled by going to https://myaccount.google.com/lesssecureapps and opting out “Turn On”.
After that, we can proceed to import our gmail account into RankerX. If you import it manually, set as server “imtp.gmail.com” and as port “993”.
If you want to import it in bulk, save your gmail accounts (one per line) in a text folder using the following format.
account@gmail.com:account@gmail.com:password:imap.gmail.com:993:IMAP:true
As you can see, you will have to repeat the email address twice followed by the password. As for the rest, simply use the same ending for each one of your gmail accounts, which is once again: imap.gmail.com:993:IMAP:true
Now, your gmail accounts will be imported into your RankerX smoothly and you are ready to run your next SEO campaign. 😉
